Skagit County is home to four cities, four towns, four Native American tribal communities, two ports, and several small communities. We invite you to explore each of these communities and ports.

Meet the Communities of Skagit County

The communities that comprise Skagit County include Mount Vernon, the largest city in Skagit County; Anacortes, a unique maritime city; Sedro-Woolley, a small city with roots in the timber industry; Burlington, the “hub” of commerce and industry in northwest Washington; La Conner, the oldest community in Skagit County; Concrete, a historic community “up river”; and Lyman and Hamilton, two neighboring towns on the Skagit River. Skagit is also home to several tribal communities: Swinomish Indian Tribal Community, Samish Indian Nation, Upper Skagit Indian Tribe, and Sauk-Suiattle Indian Tribe.

Completing Skagit County are its two ports: Port of Skagit and Port of Anacortes.
