Burlington, with more than 1,200 businesses, is the “hub” of both Skagit County and northwest Washington. Midway between Seattle and Vancouver, Canada, Burlington is home to a growing retail market, has 1,300 acres of commercial and industrial land supporting more than 8 million square feet of commercial and industrial buildings, and has plenty of smaller businesses, too.

Burlington is Home to Major Employers

Burlington is home to more than 9,500 jobs. Some of the significant employment sectors in Burlington include retail, manufacturing, and government. A few of the many large employers in Burlington are the Burlington-Edison School District, Fred Meyer, Karmart Chrysler-Jeep-Dodge, and Hexcel.
