EDASC welcomed four new board members elected at its Annual Investor Meeting. The new members are Sam Riley from Mount Vernon-based Allixo; Rich Fowles, Scratch and Peck Feeds in Burlington, Nate Scott from Windermere North Sound in Anacortes, and Marna Hanneman, mayor of La Conner.

Riley, Fowles and Scott will serve three-year terms. Hanneman, as the appointed Skagit Council of Governments representative, serves a one-year term.

Members re-elected to the board are: Elizabeth Stout, Dakota Creek Industries; Mandi Rothman, Helping Hands Food Bank; Nikki Wegner, Chinook Enterprises; Stephen Lang, HF Sinclair; and Viry Delgado, COA Mexican Eatery.

EDASC also took time to thank outgoing board members Brian Gentry, Christopher Johnston and Margaret Rojas, and outgoing board chair Amelia Cook.

Board elections take place at the EDASC Annual Investor Meeting; those Investors in attendance vote on the slate of proposed new board members.

At the monthly board meeting immediately following the Annual Investor Meeting, board members elected the following slate of officers: Nikki Wegner, Chinook Enterprises, Chair; Nate Wolfe, TRICO Companies LLC, Vice Chair, Paul Pitre, WSU-Everett, Secretary, and Matt Roetcisoender, VSH CPAs, Treasurer. Amelia Cook, Goodwinds Composites, serves as Immediate Past Chair.

EDASC CEO John Sternlicht thanked those who served and those who are stepping up to serve: “The EDASC Board features amazing and diverse people, skills, experiences and careers. We benefit so much from their insights and guidance.”

Sternlicht also noted the board has longevity but is by no means stale, as only two board members remain who were present when he was hired nearly 11 years ago.
