Leadership SkagitLeadership Skagit, an initiative founded by EDASC, Skagit Valley College and Washington State University and operated by the EDASC Foundation, works to strengthen and transform Skagit County and its communities by developing a network of business and community leadership that is informed, inclusive and connected through shared learning experiences.

Leadership Skagit’s intensive 9-month curriculum combines leadership skill development with in-depth information, study and discussion on topics critical to the future of our region.  Participants work as a part of a small team to plan, organize and complete a service project that will provide a lasting benefit to our community.  Leadership Skagit alumni continue their leadership journey by working on alumni community projects and serving on non-profit boards, planning commissions and task forces. Skagit County is a major sponsor of Leadership Skagit, and joins business, corporate and individual sponsors in providing annual support for this vital program. Recognized with the 2004 Governor’s Leadership Award and the Washington State University Hall of Champions Award, the program brings together emerging and existing leaders from business, government and the non-profit world. It proudly counts more than 400 graduates since its inception.
