EDASC moving to new office space in Mount Vernon
Tuesday, April 20, 2021
EDASC is pleased to announce it is relocating to a new office space in Mount Vernon at 1932 East College Way.
The location offers various advantages for EDASC staff and its clientele, including ample free off-street parking and a central location just minutes off Interstate 5.
“We have been looking for some time to move to offices that meet our requirements and ideally allow us to save some money,” noted EDASC CEO John Sternlicht. “This building checks all the boxes and we are excited about the move.”
The building has seven well-configured modest-sized offices, a conference room, lobby, and kitchen.
EDASC’s new lease begins May 1, with the move taking place towards the end of the month to minimize the impact on programming such as Leadership Skagit. During that time, expect minor hiccups in normal EDASC operations.
EDASC has resided in its current location below HKP Architects at 204 West Montgomery in downtown Mount Vernon for over 30 years. For most of that time the building, known locally as “the old post office,” was owned by Skagit Valley College.
“HKP Architects, and Skagit Valley College before them, have been gracious and accommodating hosts to EDASC,” Sternlicht said. “We are happy to have them as friends and Investors and proud of the work they do to elevate our community.”
