SEDRO-WOOLLEY – The deadline to apply for the City of Sedro-Woolley and EDASC CARES ACT Grant Program has been extended to 5 p.m. July 17, giving businesses an extra week to submit applications.

The maximum award amount has also increased to $10,000 from $5,000.

The changes were made to accommodate business owners through the busy July Fourth holiday and to encourage more applicants.

Administered by EDASC on behalf of the city, the grant program provides funding to businesses negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The grant can help pay for consulting, marketing and training, as well as for operational expenses like rent, supplies, inventory, utility bills, and more.

View the application here in English or here in Espanol. Be sure to download the application, open it in Adobe Acrobat and save it to your computer before filling it out. DO NOT fill out the application in your web browser.

Submit completed applications or question to EDASC at swgrant@skagit.org.

Those who have already applied are automatically eligible for the increased maximum award of $10,000.

EDASC will prioritize applications based on severity of the impact the business is facing, including from being forced to close by government-mandated closures, social distancing measures or illness. Awards will be approved on a case-by-case basis and are dependent on the availability of funds.
