BURLINGTON -- After careful consideration and discussion, EDASC has decided to cancel its business-to-business tradeshow Schmooze Fair scheduled for June 16 ,2020, due to the COVID-19 health risk.

The decision was not made lightly, and EDASC shares your disappointment, especially with those of you who committed to exhibit at or sponsor the event, and for the hundreds of people who enjoy attending.

But, due to the expected crowd size along with the recent timeline unveiled by the governor’s office for resuming large gatherings, it was clear this decision was the only responsible course.

We hope you understand and expect you share our concern for safety of all involved.

Though Schmooze Fair’s physical return will have to wait another year, EDASC is now looking at other ways to promote and convene Skagit County’s innovative business community through an event – be it in small groups (with precautions) or virtual. Because of the current economic situation facing many of our businesses, such an event should also focus on business recovery and resiliency.

To help us understand your current needs and inform our strategy for this upcoming activity or event, EDASC is asking you to complete this short survey.

We appreciate your thoughtful response to help us formulate an event that will meet your needs.

EDASC has already reached out via email to those who have paid for an exhibit or booth space or sponsorship for Schmooze Fair. If you have not received the email, check your junk folder or contact EDASC Program Support Coordinator Sunny Siers at sunny@skagit.org.
