Skagit COVID Crushers Commendation announced
Tuesday, March 31, 2020
The Skagit COVID Crushers Commendation, a weekly award recognizing individuals or groups stepping out of their busy lives to help others during this pandemic, was unveiled March 31 by a group of community-focused organizations.
The organizations – the same ones that administer the Skagit Change-Maker Award – include EDASC, Community Action of Skagit County, North Coast Credit Union, Skagit County Public Health and United Way of Skagit County.
The Commendation will be awarded every week and featured in the Skagit Valley Herald and on the supporting organizations’ websites and social media.
To nominate someone for the award, take a few minutes to complete the online survey here.
The survey will ask you to provide a brief narrative describing the work of the nominee and to attach their photo.
Nominees should demonstrate courage and leadership in support of our community, support others by sharing resources of all kinds, promote and provide assistance for our most vulnerable populations and individuals, and focus not on negatives but rather on opportunities and progress.
Due to the ongoing pandemic, the Skagit Change-Maker award presentation ceremony set for May has been canceled but will return next year.
