EDASC Up Close is a monthly behind-the-scenes look at programs, activities and policies integral to economic development in Skagit County. Economic development often takes place behind the scenes for months and even years as relationships form and deals are finalized. This series is designed to provide a better understanding of how EDASC works to be your hub for sustainable and inclusive economic growth.

MOUNT VERNON – EDASC provides a no-cost property finder tool on its website, enabling anyone to search for commercial and industrial real estate.

Among its features, the tool includes robust filtering options to quickly narrow your results to find the properties that fit your needs.

EDASC also uses the tool to provide confidential support to businesses looking to expand in or move to Skagit County, said EDASC Development & Expansion Coordinator Tamsin Bell.

“We welcome businesses to contact us with their property requirements, such as zoning, square footage or any other specialized requests,” Bell said. “We’ll put all that info into the property locator tool and provide you with a list of available vacancies and connect you with the brokers.”

Information for the property finder tool is fed from the Commercial Brokers Association.

Once you navigate to the property search tool in your browser, you’ll see a Google Map with sites listed. Below, you’ll find the actual property listings.

The map offers comprehensive census data, including information for each listed property on labor force, wages, consumer spending, talent pool, housing prices, transportation, energy infrastructure, telecommunications and broadband availability, educational institutions and more.

The map also includes access to information on Skagit County Assessor tax, permit and value history.

Check out the tool here. If you have questions about using the tool or would like assistance with your property search, contact Bell at tamsin@skagit.org or 360-336-6114.
