Are you a Latina with an idea for a new business?

Are you a Latina with an idea for a new business? COMADRES will help you quickly explore your business idea and connect to other women and Latinx resources to help you get your business launched.

In eight two-hour group sessions, you will learn how to apply business fundamentals to assess whether your business idea is realistic and achievable and have opportunities to network with other successful entrepreneurs, volunteer mentors and business development resources in the Latinx community and beyond. Attendees are encouraged to attend as a team or group of family members. While this program is geared towards Latina’s in the Skagit Valley Community, CIE embraces gender diversity and welcomes anyone to the program that wishes to attend or whose gender identity is Female.

The course includes access to free one-on-one homework assistance. Participants who complete the course and demonstrate a business idea that is realistic and achievable will be eligible for a $500 seed grant to help with startup costs along with free ongoing one-on-one counseling to help move the idea forward.

Complete and submit the online application today! Up to 20 applicants (or teams of family members, comadres or friends) will be accepted in the order received, so be sure to apply soon!

COMADRES is an entrepreneur training program exclusively for people who live in Skagit county. To promote diversity, equity and inclusion, priority will be given to emerging entrepreneurs with limited resources from marginalized communities – individuals who often have challenges finding support for self-employment and business ownership opportunities.
