EDASC will participate in the Washington State delegation to JEC World 2017, the largest international gathering of composites professionals, which will take place from March 14-16 in Paris, France.

This annual trade show is the most comprehensive international event focused on the complete composites value chain, connecting end-users, researchers, engineers, manufacturers, designers, educators and investors.  With advanced composites a significant and growing component of Washington and Skagit County’s economy, JEC will present opportunities to promote local manufacturers and businesses in the composites value chain to potential international partners, and to introduce Skagit County to global manufacturers and research institutions as an ideal location in Washington State and the United States for composites manufacturing and R&D activities.  The show will additionally offer a venue to build awareness of Skagit Valley College’s Composites Recycling Technician Education Project, a National Science Foundation-funded partnership to develop an innovative curriculum to address the emerging need for technicians skilled in composites recycling techniques and manufacturing.

EDASC’s goals, through participation in JEC, include developing contacts and initiating conversations that could support Skagit County’s economy including related to existing business expansion, industry attraction, and capacity building including in workforce training and R&D.

EDASC welcomes input and information from Skagit County businesses on any specific companies, or types of composite value chain manufacturers, you would like us to connect with on your behalf at JEC.  A directory of exhibitors is available and for more information on EDASC’s participation please contact Sean Connell, EDASC Director of Business Recruitment, at sean@skagit.org.
